Design Intent
This design started from a simple idea: I wanted to create a 关节针织可爱小飞龙 model that I could 3D print myself. There are similar items on the market, but the satisfaction of designing and making something with your own hands is unmatched.
Design Process
I went through multiple iterations of this design. The first version was too conservative, basically a copy of existing designs. The second version went too far in the opposite direction. After several refinements, I found the perfect balance — extracting the most striking visual elements and rebuilding the entire form around them. Every line in the final version is intentional, with nothing superfluous.
Use Cases
- Display on your desk to spark conversations with colleagues
- Print in different colors to create a collection for your display cabinet
- A unique gift for that friend who has everything
- Perfect showcase piece for maker events and exhibitions
3D Printing Tips
Recommended Material: PETG offers excellent strength and toughness, making it ideal for models that will be handled frequently. PLA also works well but has lower heat resistance.
Print Settings: 0.16mm layer height provides a good balance between detail and speed. 20% infill with 3 wall layers for structural integrity.
Post-Processing: A quick pass with a heat gun can smooth out subtle layer lines. Use cyanoacrylate glue for assembling separate parts.
Print Advice
Submit a model, drawing, image or written notes. Engineers will review material, process, finishing and delivery based on actual use.
